The Jeanne Stein Irregular

Jeanne on a bridge

Hi—welcome to the third issue of the Jeanne Stein Irregular.

It’s August and that means we’re only weeks away from the release of the fourth in the Anna Strong series, Legacy.

In Legacy, Anna must protect those she loves from a predator out for the two most precious things in the world - blood and money. It marks the return of a formidable enemy, Avery, who isn’t ready to relinquish his hold on Anna…or his life. Look for it in bookstores on August 26.

It’s been a busy summer and it’s not over yet. Below is my schedule of events, including signings in Denver and Southern California. I was honored to be chosen Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers’ Writer of the Year for 2008. The celebration begins on September 4th with a signing at the Tattered Cover with fellow nominees Joan Johnston and Mario Acevedo. The next week, I’ll be the Friday night speaker at RMFW’s Colorado Gold Writers Conference. If you’re looking for the chance to pick the brains of a host of talented authors or to pitch to well-known editors and agents, check this one out. Memberships are still available.

There are two things I love about attending conferences—meeting authors I’ve read and admired and meeting readers. Conestoga Con in Tulsa gave me an opportunity to do both. If you’d like to sample the fun, follow the link below. Members of our on-line group, Fangs, Fur & Fey, contributed stories and pictures of the festivities.

Here is one of my favorite pictures from the conference. After a panel on Vamps and Shifters with talented and multi-published PC Cast, Dakota Cassidy, Rachel Vincent and moi, we posed for a picture with a wonderful reader, Emily.

With Emily

There’s a new online magazine for San Diego writers called WORD. If you live in SoCal, you’ll find all sorts of interesting news about the writing community.

Just for fun, here’s the cover for the German edition of Many Bloody Returns. Haven’t a clue what the title means—can’t find a translation! Anyone have an idea?
